The Devil His Due
A microfiction.
My response to today’s challenge from the Halls of Pandemonium.
The Devil was waiting for the rock star on the bus.
The rock star hung his head and dropped his jaw. “Has it been twenty years already?”
The Devil smiled, crooked and dark. “To the very second.”
“So, how you want to do this?”
“It’s up to you.”
The rock star reached for a needle on the nearby table. “I think a nice big shot of the good stuff is how I want to go.”
The Devil bowed. “Then by all means. I’ll be waiting for you on the other side.”

The Devil is mad respectful in that end of bargains.
A shot of adrenaline packed into a small tale. Well done.
