Rainfall
A microfiction about nature's fury.
This is my response to day 25 of the Halls of Pandemonium. Today’s prompt was to write a story or poem of 100 words or less using the words storm, home, and compass.
The hiker checked his compass. He had been walking in a circle for the past hour. The storm had already started: pounding rain soaked him, roaring thunder deafened him, and gusting wind cut like a dagger through his clothes. He feared he would not make it home before the worst of the hurricane struck. This was not as exciting as he thought it was going to be.
