Giving In
A poem about not wanting to fight anymore.
This is my response to day 24 of the Halls of Pandemonium. Today’s challenge was to write a story or poem inspired by an article from WikiRoulette. I clicked through a few article until I stumbled on the entry for the song “Giving In” by Adema. I decided to go with the concept of giving in and this is what came to mind.
TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDAL IDEATION
I have no more blood to shed so this should be quick and clean When I open my eyes all I will see is Black--no sun or moon or starry sky I will finally know Peace in that eternal loneliness that forever quiet I am far beyond a timid goodbye I am far beyond hestiation marks I am committed I have decided I will not change my mind I cannot change my mind
